I'm Frederic!

Over the past 15 years, I’ve switched jobs more than 10 times, with an average of 1,5 years at each company.

I’ve been a career chameleon, switching roles more than ten times in the past fifteen years. My average tenure? A year and a half.

It became clear early on that climbing the corporate ladder wasn’t my path. I’m not the type to settle into a long-term position.

Friends and family were often surprised by my job changes, but even more astonished by my capacity of landing new jobs and having constant career progression.

Consistently landing new roles with increased responsibility and pay across diverse industries was unexpected, even to me.

How? Let me tell you my story….

After graduation, my dream of working at Google was slowly fading away after multiple job applications rejections.

Refusing to give up, I decided to proactively showcase my value to them. So I dived deep into Google’s ecosystem, mastering products like AdWords and AdSense, and aligning my skills and competencies with their requirements, described in job descriptions.

Then I compiled a comprehensive report of my findings, I added a few slides about me, and I packaged it all, into a comprehensive presentation deck of 10 slides, that I blasted away to every key decision-makers I could find on LinkedIn, by passing the usual HR & Recruiters.

The response rate was transformative. Out of the five positive replies, one mentioned forwarding my deck to the HR Manager, who expressed keen interest in inviting me for a first phone interview. This led to two more phone calls, a complimentary flight ticket to Dublin for a two-day visit, a paid two-night stay, ten 45-minute on-site interviews at Google HQ, and two enjoyable evenings spent with the interviewing team.

Although, I wasn’t the final choice for the role, this job search technique reinforced a powerful lesson “a right preparation with unique presentation, highlighting your value, can set you apart”.
